-day North Cape North Cape
Sunday, August 5
Already last night I realized that the mattress did not take more air, but I was too tired to think about it, punctually at 3 was completely deflated, I pretended to nothing and I got up two hours later. The trouble is that while wetting the mattress I could not understand where the loss, patience, the last day I will sleep with the foam mat.
Luckily there is an underground station near the camp and in less than half an hour are in the center without worrying about parking or traffic. In fact, today is Sunday and it is very little traffic, the first stop the tourist office, super organized, but does not give me any more the information I had from the campsite. The tour begins at the royal palace, nothing more than Versailles and Madrid. Many photographs of the royal family (though it looks like the family of the reason for my bank), beautiful wreaths, the apartments have modern style of a dining room 50 years, many portraits of ancestors and an entire area dedicated to the celebrations Thirty Years of the princess heir to the throne, but her sister is prettier.
Stockholm Cathedral, beautiful and imposing church with a beautiful statue of Saint George and the Dragon (apart from the absent expression of the saint) and a special feature that made me immediately sympathetic to the church are celebrated here rites of various denominations.
Fast, unfortunately, around the old town and visit the Nobel Museum, very beautiful, a celebration of culture, fellowship and growth. Looking under the seats at the bar then there are the autographs of several Nobel laureates.
leaving the museum I encounter in the changing of the guard very nice although a little 'lunghini, in the end I started to photograph the soldiers and the traffic warden on horseback.
Time to reach the island of Djurgarden with the classic ferry, stand out from afar the Vasa Museum, an amusement park and pavilion dedicated to Pippi Longstocking. Scrap naturalmenti the last two and within the Vasa, one of the most beautiful shows I've ever seen. The Vasa is the most beautiful ship in the fleet of the Swedish king in 1700, sank on her maiden voyage! Was recovered in 1956 and completely restored in a magnificent way. The museum is the story of the Vasa, Sweden at the time of the Vasa and the recovery of wreckage, with footage and reconstructions, really fascinating.
after the Vasa went to Skansen, an outdoor museum that occupies an entire hill, where I played all the areas in Sweden in mid-nineteenth century, with the residents and the craftsmen at work, and the animals all over Sweden! Another great exposure.
spent the last half hour sitting outside eating a slice of blueberry pie, watching a pretty girl sitting two tables further on, then I head to the metro and go back to camp, where the Italian couple German of my neighbors keep asking me something borrowed and had done the day before. But it is time to go to sleep.
