" Photography to the amateur is recreation, to the professional it is work, and hard work too, no matter how pleasurable it my be. " Edward Weston
Edward Weston was the one person that transformed photography from being a mere technique to an art form. He accomplished his achievement in the 20s and 30s. Since then, most art forms, such as painting, theater, literature have changed immensely. Looking at his majestic images, so similar to most "good" photographs produced today, I cannot avoid to ask myself a provocative question: did photography evolved at all in the last 80 years? If not, why?
